Regina Atzil

Regina Atzil (Aronov) immigrated to Australia from Uzbekistan (former USSR) in 1979. She holds a Bachelor's degree of Music and Education and has more than 35 years of teaching experience.

Regina has had a passion for art since her early childhood but only began painting in 2009. Working mainly with oils, her subject matter is varied and ranges from portraitures, landscapes, still life and cityscapes. She is inspired by the works of both Old Masters and contemporary artists.

Regina is a Co-Founder of the Glen Eira Artists Society Inc. and was the Treasurer for the first five years. She also designed the logo for the Society.

Regina was the initiator and convenor of the first GEAS Major Exhibition at the Glen Eira Town Hall Gallery in 2014, which has since become an annual event.

Regina exhibited in the "Passion for Paint" group exhibition of John Lawry's students in August 2011, in the annual "Paint in the Park" exhibitions for GEAS 2010 - 2014, Breslin Gallery 2015 and the GEAS annual exhibitions at the Glen Eira City Council Gallery since 2014.

Having only started painting at a later stage in her life, Regina firmly believes that it is never too late to follow your dreams and to transform your dreams into reality.
